I attended a three days of observations of birds in California with "Voloerrante" Andrea Corso, "Casatiello" David De Rosa and "Olaf" Mirko Di Marzio. Cold days, but full of enthusiasm and interesting sightings.
We began as wanderers from the mouth of the Majella Saccione guidance of our spirit.
The objective was to search for the Snow Bunting spotted and photographed by Luigi Lucchese, keeper of the dunes, a few days before.
As is often the object of desire has been denied, but we were rewarded dall'avvistamento of curlews, golden plovers, gulls northern, red-breasted merganser, hen harrier and lapwings.
In inland areas, we have observed among many species, some common areas such as buzzards
other more rare as the Gavina. 
But the surprise has it reserved the Pantano Zittola in the town of Montenero Val Cocchiara where we observed lapwings, ducks, coots, gadwalls, great white egrets, cranes and twelve great. They are tireless fliers able to fly at night and fly over large expanses of sea to form flocks of thousands of individuals.
