A ppena the cloud thinned the soldiers of the Viceroy came forward in search of outlaws and Donna Golundrina. But their astonished eyes saw only the poor alchemist Polusgamus and no trace of the other!
The Viceroy Abbot Isidrus that have appeared in the meantime had remained baffled by the disappearance but they resumed promptly and Don Presumida spoke to the crowd of bonarcantesi.
Noting the diabolical origin of the leak Golundrina and his friends, he thanked God and the saints for the narrow escape and hoping not to see them ever again, he renewed his promise not to work on Sunday and that it would distribute free bread and wine in holidays.
Isidrus also joined to the words of the Viceroy and walked with his monks in psalms and gestures of blessing.
The people applauded joyously.
Bonarcanto From that day no one opposed the abuses of the Viceroy and the abbot.
The Mother Abbess took possession of the palace of Women Golundrina and under the auspices of Don Presumida turned it into a brothel for the English nobles of the province.
The Viceroy was enriched more and gave wonderful parties at the palace cheered by the Games and the spells of the poor by Polusgamus Pedimonte , that because of His alliance with the rebels had been forced, on pain of his death and his family, to provide his services at the English court of Bonarcanto and delight guests with performances and always find new and spectacular. Even the abbot
Isidrus could continue undisturbed its traffic, plus the appreciation and esteem of his bishop for helping to eradicate the evil from that country but more importantly, for the generous share of the revenues of the monastery which was sent every three months at the Bishop's Palace.
The fishing port of Porto Vecchio did not make the case to that cloud of smoke that suddenly materialized at the end of the pier.
gave it was a cloud of sand blowing in the wind and went about their business instantly forgetting that phenomenon.
When the smoke had cleared, five figures appeared to be looking around.
"But ... where are we? Iscorza ... where have you brought? "
" I think we ended up in Corsica - the supernatural being said, scratching his crotch.
"In Corsica? But while he was there because you brought directly into continent. ... I know ... in Genoa, for example, "
" Because it's out of my jurisdiction. I am s'Iscorza Arbeghes de Norghiddo , not that of Genoa! My powers are only effective in Sardinia, the most I can get up to Corsica, "Say these words
winked toward Grigula while a cloud of smelly smoke began to wrap it," I kept my promise! Now it's' you're on your own ... the next one! He shouted and disappeared with the stench and smoke.
Barolus Viginti, which held a Golundrina exhausted, worn out by all this whirlwind of emotions and bitterness of the betrayal of his people, was furious, "Damn traitors! After that my Lord has done everything possible to defend and protect them from abuse by those two rascals! As soon as I had a good advantage to have turned their backs! And had it not been for the intervention of the strange ... it would be delivered all in the hands of the Viceroy! "
" To tell the truth "- said Grigula - ' S'Iscorza had warned me that the people are fickle. Always has an empty belly, and then listen more to the noises that come from it rather than words of wisdom. E 'in his nature to precede the daily needs anything else. As the Viceroy promised benefits to them if they had helped made the most convenient choice. Fortunately for us the My guardian angel had promised to intervene if something went wrong. "
Friar Karra until then had heard no action, addressing Grigula asked
" Flying on the being who has taken the hook, you'll have time later to explain everything, now what do we do? Where shall we go? "
" I would say for now to seek a passage by ship to Genoa. Once we decide the "
So they did. With the bag of gold that was brought Grigula behind, found passage on a merchant ship that brought them to Genoa.
where they stayed for about a week until Women Golundrina was not fully recovered, after having heard that Don Presumida had put a bounty on them and that every thug then wanted to cash out, found it appropriate to leave immediately.
Barolus Viginti during his stay in Genoa, he used to go to the seaside town of taverns, and there listened to the speeches of the customers and chatting with travelers who pass that way. Just heard good things of life that was made into Germany, where even if the climate was cold it was to work with and the food was plentiful and nutritious. He talked with his classmates and they decided that this would be their next destination.
The Lady
instead gave music lessons and Latin to the children of rich merchants and nobles of Cologne.
But Brother Karra had a character from globetrotters and after three months of his old passion that life took over again, the rest was a Wanderer for Monaco where his curiosity about new places was never charged. Grigula then ill-suited to city life, having always been accustomed to open spaces and fresh air, so when Monaco's expressed desire to visit the homeland of his mother enthusiastically agreed to undertake the journey to Terre High .
communicate their decision to the other two comrades who received the news with sadness, having already formed a strong friendship with them and suffered from that separation.
They understood, however, that the fate of those two was far from the cold city Teutonic therefore high time they embraced, greeted them warmly and wish them good luck and gawk at the door of the inn, while happily and giving themselves pats on the back is initiated through the wide doorway that led outside the city walls.
Twenty-two years later ... ... ..
Palos de la Frontera, Andalusia South - Day 3 August.
the corner farthest from the door of the tavern, at a table with grease and dirt stains of wine, sits a giant bearded man dressed in a tunic that looks like a habit.
eat noisily by a large plate of salt cod and olives and never raises his eyes from the food, but nothing escapes him to what happens around him and that is why that does not move even a bit 'when a shadow on the door and stands a figure is closer to his table.
"In the betimes! As I later thought of putting something in your stomach! "
" You did well. And now if I pour a glass of wine you information on the latest New! "The bearded
poured a glass of red wine Andalusian who was drinking and handed out to him that in the meantime had taken place in front of him. This despite the heat wore long hair and an open leather vest that showed the muscular chest crossed by a few scars.
took a large piece of bread, the man dressed in a tunic passed it for good in the pot and then he stuffed it in his huge mouth. Sent him down with a sip of wine, belched loudly and said
"Then Grigula, do not you pray! Were you able to find those 3 ships that are catering where they are headed? "
" Of course! They are directed to Indie and are under the command of such a Colombo, an Italian who found subsidization by Queen Isabella to get there by sea in the claims that they are on the opposite side of the world. So being the world's a ball, just go ahead and going around to get everywhere. "
" Interesting. It would be the ideal trip for us, away from the continent full of wars and plagues. Too bad that surely are full, so there is no hope of boarding '
"In this respect I inform you dear brother Karra, who sat at this table are the interpreter and guide the expedition to the Indies! "
" You're kidding right? And how did you do? "
'Well, I knew that the official interpreter and guide the choice of Admiral Columbus failed to appear last call before the start and I showed up offering our services! "
" And if that occurs at the last moment? "
" It will be difficult. At this time are several tens of miles from the coast, guests of a felucca Saracen live in Istanbul! "
" And how do you know? "
"Well raju, Grigula! Custo cheret buffàda! "So saying
jars filled to the brim and made a toast
" At our new adventure! On our journey that will lead us in a strange land! "
" Yes! Brother ... .. Al Karra New World ! "

The events listed in the "Chronicles of Bonarcanto " come from documents, letters, unfinished manuscripts found in the archives of the family library nel castello di Minchminster .
Finally in recognition of their efforts over the centuries to defend the rights of the weak and the oppressed, the name " Grigula " has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
