The year was 1960 when a group of volunteers (we have listed some here, without claiming to be complete: Meinrad Devittori, Rigiani brothers, Gino Giuliani, Stefano Buzzi, Mario Buzzi, Gianplacido Giamboni, John Bishop) planted the seeds for the foundation of society. Then there was the road that came up to Gorda: Camperio volunteers departed from carrying on their shoulders to the prefabricated parts of Punta Laresca (Pilon) . at an altitude of 2194 m, and built the shelter-camp calling it "an eagle's nest."
few years later, notably in 1965, was built the first cabin in Gorda.
From "Pilon" went the first edition of the giant slalom at the cantonal level, and the competitors went to start walking! They took part in this race then known names: Pilotti, Segrado, Mottis and other men, women bishops Delfina, Francine Martinoli (just to mention some of those brave!).
